The School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) signed a Partner Teaming Agreement with Applied Security Intelligence Sdn. Bhd. (ASI), a subsidiary of LGMS Berhad, on 24 September 2026, to expand industry collaboration in cybersecurity education and training.

The partnership will support the development of cybersecurity talent through the Cybersecurity Cadet Program. The programme will provide students with cybersecurity awareness and training, opportunities to pursue professional certifications, and exposure to real-world cybersecurity projects. Other areas of collaboration include industry mentorship, talent development, and joint promotional activities.

The agreement was signed at LGMS Berhad by Assoc. Prof. Dr Iftekhar Salam, Assistant Dean for Research and Industrial Collaborations at SCDS, and Mr. Fong Choong Fook, Director of ASI.
