XMUM Receives Donation of Temperature Measurement Terminal

On 23 June 2020, China-ASEAN Information Harbor, together with Alma Technology, donated a Temperature Measurement Terminal to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).

Mr. Tian Guanghui, CEO of China-ASEAN Information Harbor (Malaysia), Mr. K. K. Lim, Director of Alma Technology Sdn. Bhd., and Mr. K. S. Ng, Senior Sales Manager of Alma Technology, presented the Terminal to the university. They demonstrated how to use the equipment and provided training to XMUM technicians. XMUM Assistant President, Dr. Zhang Ying, received the Terminal on behalf of the university.

Equipped with face recognition function, the built-in infrared thermoelectric censor of the Terminal allows quick and accurate measurement of wrist temperature, with no need for direct contact.

The University management expressed their sincere gratitude towards the donation of the Terminal, which is a particularly timely gift in view of the Covid-19 outbreak and the recently announced recovery Movement Control Order (MCO) period. As part of the university’s measures to ensure campus safety, anyone entering the campus must undergo temperature screening.
