XMUM Students Win Third Place in 24H Case Study-Business Challenge Competition 2020


Innovation Center congratulates two XMUM students for winning the Third Place in the 11th 24H Case Study-Business Challenge Competition, which was held on 24 May 2020.

Organized by School of Accountancy, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the competition is open to undergraduate students worldwide, offering them a chance to solve business challenges that they are expected to face in real commercial environment.

The team of two - Ding Tingting from XMUM Accounting programme and Aaron Tan from XMUM Advertising programme - ranked first among 684 teams in the first round. In the final round of the competition, they were randomly assigned to partner with two students from the London School of Economics and Political Science. They had 24 hours to come up with a solution to a business case and present it to a panel of experienced judges.

They proposed an innovative strategy plan called “Afterpay with BNL”, which is a software development solution for online platform and mobile apps. The team won the third place in the competition and was awarded a cash prize of RMB 2,000.

As the first group to present in the final round, the team members gave a great presentation under pressure.
